Binding: Full linen by the Russell-Rutter Company — red for the first vol., and blue for the second — with a design by Eichenberg of horses and riders printed in black, stamped in gold and silver, housed in a black slipcase with silver label. Limited to 1500 copies, of which this is no. 671, it carries an introduction by Marc Slonim and contains24 full-page engravings (including the two frontispieces) by Fritz Eichenberg, who has signed the colophon. The illustrations were reproduced by the Meriden Gravure Company and the typography was designed by Peter Oldenburg.
