FIRST EDITION IN ORIGINAL MONTHLY PARTS. Advertisements conforming to Arents, with additional 2 pp ad printed in green and red for Dickens Christmas Books at front of part 3, 2 pp Dickens ad printed in black and red at front of part 6. Arents p 59.

6 parts. 8vo (197 x 124 mm). 12 steel-engraved plates after H.K. Browne. “Disgrace to the Family Advertisements” in each part: 16 pp in parts 1 & 2, 8 pp in parts 3 & 4, and 4 pp in parts 5 & 6. Original light blue pictorial wrappers. Custom quarter morocco pull-off case. Rebacking and other old repairs, repaired chip to part 2, some foxing and darkening to plates.

FIRST EDITION IN ORIGINAL PARTS. One of Phiz’s scarcer works in original parts.
